My little ones have been my teacher daily: keep trying, be honest, ask for what they want, smiles at everyone, and not hold grudges, and the list goes on and on…
Well, I had my lesson this Saturday when I was helping my 5-year old boy find LEGO pieces. He’ll ask me to find a piece in the LEGO pile we have according to the instruction for his rebuild.
My job is to find a unique piece that is not easy to spot among thousands and thousands of pieces in front of me.
After about 5 minutes of searching, my son asked me: ‘Mum, I think this piece isn’t that important for the rebuild; I can use these two together instead.’
‘That’s right!’ I stopped with relief. But I cannot stop thinking. My little boy just demonstrated to me the ability of flexibility.
What a fantastic quality that it’s essential for every part of our study, work and life.
All roads lead to Rome.
